Hello November

  1. It was my birthday and I enjoyed a fabulous meal with my family at Croma Italian restaurant in Chorlton, Manchester. 🍝
  2. Getting some beautiful gifts for my birthday including Michael Kors rose gold earrings, candles, spa vouchers, handbags & clothes.
  3. Having a gorgeous Elemis facial at my beauty salon Koko in Kirkburton, Huddersfield.
  4. A lovely evening at Titanic Spa with lovely friends (see places)
  5. A beautiful meal at 315 restaurant with good friends 🍸
  6. Another of my gorgeous pupils has qualified for The Miss Dance of Great Britain Finals 2018

I have recommended this fabulous place before but it has since opened a champagne/Gin bar and extended its dining area which has taken this great local spot to another level.

Situated in Fenay Bridge on the outskirts of Huddersfield this venue has been open since September 2016 and has become extremely popular with locals. A great place to go just for drinks & cocktails or for a great dining experience Harvey’s has a modern vibe with an electric atmosphere. The staff are all hard working and friendly which helps make this local gem the success it is. The menu isn’t too large but is perfect for this place with popular dishes being the Tapas & hanging kebabs. It’s great for dining on a lunchtime but got quite busy in an evening so, due to its huge popularity they have now opened two more floors upstairs with a newly furnished dining area boasting private booths and another gorgeous bar area. A separate champagne & gin bar has also opened recently which can also be hired out for small private events.

Great value for money and you’re guaranteed a great night out or a lovely place for a lunch date. I would, however recommend booking in advance as it does get busy very quickly. A huge favourite of mine and my family & friendly, I can highly recommend this great place.

With my birthday in October & a good friends birthday in November we decided to have a girly night at the fabulous Titanic Spa near Huddersfield along with two other friends.

I’m a huge fan of spa’s & will book one at any opportunity so a Twilight evening at Titanic Spa with 3 lovely friends is my idea of total bliss!! Prosecco & steam rooms, hot tubs & hors d oeuvres, Titanic is the perfect place to wind down and feel pampered. We only had a 3 hour session on this occasion so didn’t book any additional treatments, however we took advantage of the heavenly ‘sensory journey’ of the Titanic Spa heat and ice experience making our way through the various saunas, aromatherapy rooms, a herbal steam bath and crystal-infused cabin. I did however give the freezing plunge pool a miss!

For longer stays there is a restaurant, swimming pool and gym along with apartments for overnight breaks. The treatment list is where the Titanic really excels specialising in Elemis, Decleor & Neom, every treatment imaginable is on offer from facials to massage, pedicures to mud baths.

Set in the beautiful tranquility of the Pennine countryside, Titanic Spa is a favourite of mine that I will continue to return to on a regular basis.

IMG_7191.JPGAs the nights get darker and the days get colder it’s lovely to bid farewell to all things summer and embrace a more Autumnal feel in your home, fashion & lifestyle. The colours of Autumn are stunning and watching the leaves turn & fall can be truly beautiful. Living in a rural part of Yorkshire I’m lucky to be surrounded by stunning views and there’s nothing better than getting all wrapped up for a Sunday walk with the family followed by a Sunday roast & then snuggling up by the fire with the candles lit watching one of the seasons new favourite TV series. I love the cosiness of Autumn, all the snuggly jumpers, blankets and seeing a real log fire. There’s nothing better than having a whole night in, locking the door and all the family putting on comfy clothes. Hearing the rain & wind outside, knowing you’re warm & snuggly inside is so comforting. IMG_7192.JPG

Candles are a huge obsession of mine all year round and I love changing the scents to match the season. After the summers fresh linen & fruity smells it’s now time for lovely autumn smells of berries & nature. Its also nice to change a few small details in the home to make it feel more seasonal such as an Autumn wreath & some Autumn flowers. Lighting is another important factor and good lighting can really affect the feel and ambience of a home. Cosy lamps make it feel snuggly and warm and I personally like fairy lights whatever time of year it is. So before the craziness of Christmas hits it’s just nice to sit back and enjoy the beautiful Autumn season of hot chocolates, wool socks, comfort meals, cosy jumpers & snuggling up by a warm fire. Bliss!

My fabulous beauty spa Koko has just changed their products from Decleor to Elemis. Much as I always loved the Decleor products I’ve really fallen in love with the Elemis skin care range.

Working on ships in my twenties I was very lucky to have access to the Elemis body products with their Sharp Shower & Skin Nourishing Milk Bath still being favourites of mine now. I’ve now begun using the facial products and I really love them. Autumn & Winter can be quite drying for the skin so drinking lots of water and a good daily skin care routine is greatly important.

IMG_7194.JPGThe Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing balm is the foundation for a good routine & this balm is amazing at dissolving makeup and daily impurities. It contains Precious Starflower, Elderberry and Optimega Oils, Rose and Mimosa waxes combined with anti-ageing Padina Pavonica which help to deeply cleanse, nourish and smooth the skin giving you a glowing complexion. I just love this product and my skin really feels hydrated after using it.

My other favourite product is the Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Serum. I’m a big fan of serums & oils and this really targets the first sign of ageing. It lifts and firms the skin with its mineral-rich Rhodochrosite and pure Padina Pavonica to help tighten,  rejuvenate & smooth the appearance of wrinkles. A gorgeous product which left my skin feeling younger, lifted and more radiant.

A perfect cocktail for Autumn!

Apple Cider Mimosas Recipe: 1 bottle champagne, 1 cup apple cider, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Directions: On a small plate, combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip champagne flutes in water to wet the rims, then dip in cinnamon sugar mixture. Fill champagne flutes 1/4 full with apple cider, then top off with champagne

IMG_6943.JPGTanya Burr ‘Love Tanya’

I bought this book thinking there would be some great makeup, beauty & career tips in it but sadly I was a little disappointed. It’s all nice and frothy but definitely more suited to a much much younger audience so I gave it to Isabelle. She loves it and it’s got lots of makeup & beauty tips & tricks in it for her. I love Tanya’s videos & her makeup products but this book should definitely say it’s aimed at pre teen & teen girls.

I’m now really looking forward to buying her new Christmas book ‘Tanya’s Christmas’ but not for me ….. for my 12 year old!!!!!

Strictly Strictly Strictly!! 💃

Coughs, colds & the lurgy in our house! 😪

  1. Only Fools & Horses. I loved this series and I am currently loving watching lots of episodes on Gold again. Classic!
  2. The new series of The Real House Wives of Cheshire has restarted. My guilty pleasure!
  3. Zoella Scooper Dooper bubble bath! Soft, silky, great bubbles & smells divine! 🛁IMG_6945.JPG
  4. TRESemme 24 hour body root boosting spray. Not being blessed with thick hair I’m forever searching for products to give it more body at the roots & this is one of the better ones I’ve found for my hair
  5. Doing my 100 days of positivity on twitter. There’s always something to make me smile & be positive every day! 😄
