AWESOME ANNIVERSARY AT THE WONDERFUL 3 ACRES RESTAURANT HUDDERSFIELD
This August is Tony & my 15th wedding anniversary. Gosh, 15 years and never a cross word!! 😂😂 Seriously though, like any marriage we’ve certainly had our ups and downs, in my opinion any married couple who says they never argue are either lying or one of them is spending their life compromising. But the good times have most certainly out weighed the bad and, 4 houses, 2 kids, extensive travel and a puppy later here we are and loving life.
To celebrate the occasion Isabelle and Max stayed over at my parents house so we could have a night out and we booked to go to one of our all time favourite restaurants The 3 Acres in Emley Huddersfield.
Set in the beautiful Pennine countryside this renowned institution has been known for its first class food and service for 50 years. It has recently been voted the Dining Pub of the year in Yorkshire Life Food & Drinks awards and 2nd in the Uk by stylist magazine along with many other awards over the years.
The 3 Acres is a delightful mixture of cosiness and class in the colder months and has now added more to its outdoor area to enable you to enjoy eating al fresco in the summer months whilst looking out at the spectacular Yorkshire Countryside. It also specialises in Weddings with its fabulous marquee and wonderful accommodation. A recent facelift saw the addition of a separate reception area which makes it much more personable when checking in and gives the place a lovely classy welcoming feel.
The food was delicious as always, Tony chose the cod fillet which was by all accounts wonderful and I opted for the poussin which was melt in the mouth delicious.
The staff were all extremely attentive as they always are with excellent service from start to finish. The extensive menu boasts all locally sourced meat and the fish of the day is always the finest quality. With its award winning menu there is something to suit everyone’s taste and all cooked to perfection.
After enjoying delicious cocktails and a cheeky Limoncello sponge for desert we finished with coffee and after dinner mints, although I was extremely tempted by the outstanding cheese board selection.
Another wonderful visit to The award winning 3 Acres and I look forward to many many more to come.
