TWO WEEK CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN
There’s so much to do leading up to the big day. Stay on track by having a two week Christmas countdown schedule and ticking off your list as the jobs get done.
Make or finalise your full grocery shopping list. Don’t forget to include loo rolls and other necessities such as batteries, cello tape etc. Remember not to go crazy with every day food though as the shops are only closed for one day & the wastage at Christmas time is huge.
If you haven’t already done so, book your online shopping delivery slot. If you prefer to shop in store pick up a few non perishables and drinks now to make it a bit easier on your big Christmas shop.
Clean out the fridge, freezer & kitchen cupboards and throw out any out of date items to make room for the Christmas shop.
Time to start finishing your Christmas shopping & start the wrapping.
Stock up on boxes of chocolates and bottles of fizz to take to the hosts of any parties you might be attending and a couple of emergency gifts- just in case.
Start distributing gifts to friends and family you’re not spending the Christmas period with.

Today is the last day for 1st Class post with Royal Mail
Finalise your grocery shopping list, buy all your drinks and sock the freezer with ice.
Make sure all your gifts are distributed and this is the day to finalise all your last bits and pieces.
Grocery shopping day. Either go really early or very late at night to hopefully avoid the queues. Don’t forget to stock up on batteries too. Fully clean your house from top to bottom and get everything ready for your guests coming so you can enjoy Christmas Eve.
Defrost your turkey, lay the table.
Then in the evening don’t forget to put out a mince pie, sherry, a carrot and water for Santa & Rudolph. Put together any new toys that need building once the children have gone to bed, sort everyone’s gifts into their stockings, then enjoy a mince pie & a glass of something delicious, and watch a Christmas film before bed.
Enjoy this special day with family! Eat, drink and be merry!!
